This is the front cover for the new book, “31 Prayers for Courage,” and should be a little something to look forward to when all of the editing gets done. Soon (hopefully), everything will be finalized and will look great and this will go on sale. It should go on sale for the Kindle even sooner, which means that you can go ahead and get your hands on it ASAP, if you’re not into the whole “physical book in your hands” thing.
I thought the image appropriate for the virtue of courage: the warrior, with sword and shield, ready for battle. The sword, too, evokes the image of a cross based on its framing in the image, reminding us that we are praying for courage. The subtitle is more generally appropriate to the whole series than “31 Prayers for Courage” alone.
You may also notice that we have established our logo. Since “31 Prayers” is about praying daily for help and direction from God, we have a couple of images playing through this logo: two praying hands form a mountaintop, recalling the image of Christ climbing a mountain to pray, both at the beginning of his ministry and at its end; between them we find an arrow, pointing straight up to God, the direction which all Christian prayer inherently follows; around them rises the morning sun, a reminder that this prayer should be every day.
Pax vobiscum.
